Michael J. Ryan, Esq.

Mike has practiced law for over 30 years, primarily in medical malpractice and skilled nursing facility defense. Throughout his career, he has also been very active in representing professionals before State Administrative Licensing Boards. In addition to his previous work before California Boards, Mike has also appeared before the Arizona Medical Board, Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners, Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, Arizona Nursing Board, Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants, and Arizona Board of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers, among others.

Mike began his law career in 1992 and has practiced in different states, including California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada, and with different firms. He had the distinct honor of practicing as an Associate, Partner, and then Shareholder at the law firm of Broening Oberg Woods & Wilson from 1999 until April 2013. At that time, he accepted his current position at the Arizona Service Center as Senior Associate General Counsel and Litigation Counsel. He defends and litigates cases filed against independent skilled nursing facilities located in Arizona, owned by Bandera Healthcare.

Since 2014, Mike has also been practicing as Of Counsel with Holden & Armer. He is happy to practice law with his long-time law school friend and law partner, DeeDee Holden, and his friend, Scott Holden, as well as with his son, Nate Ryan. It is an honor to practice law with them and a dream to practice with his oldest son.
